It so happens that common humility can often times cause greatness to go unnoticed. It is time the world knows about these two great unknowns who have been protecting us from so much harm.
Kid Digg plays with google gears and secure sockets. His vintage Palm Treo is full of notes about encryption and certificates. While you would think a guy like him would be obsessive-compulsive. He doesn’t carry a bottle of antibacterial soap with him. He’s really quite sloppy with his appearance. His morning alarm is timed to give him just enough margin to make it in to the work with a few minutes to spare, stale pizza in hand. He doesn’t mind tar black office coffee. His taste buds are color blind.
Ed on the other hand is the organized one. He makes his way down Broadway with plenty of time to swing through the Starbucks drive through and pick up a cup of java. Beans imported from Antigua are faves ahead of blended estima. He listens to Classical music and collects old vinyl records of Cleveland Orchestra and London Philharmonic. His laptop is a shiny dell with a case built of top shelf leather. He’s running Vista already.
His computer runs java background loops that traverse known lurking joints, to try to smoke out those criminals that think they are smarter than him. Their lack of character often betrays a weakness that can be exposed.
His morning read is a paid subscription to the e-version of the Wall Street Journal.
Mild mannered by day, but mighty powerful at night, these two join forces to rid the world of the seamy underworld that occasionally surfaces on the internet. Yes that’s right, the internet.
The world is safer now, with Ranger Ed and Kid Digg working behind the scenes. Two TCP/IP super heros, squash bugs, block spambots and leap tall structs in a single bound. They kill viruses and save damsels and companies from villains masquerading as software gurus.
