Ruby Shein called Tower Ageis. She had been given the o.k. by the University Board to talk to Ed Grepworth about the continuing security breaches at the school. She introduced herself as a public relations representative for the school. “Mr. Grepworrth, I am representing the Technical University as a Public Relations consultant.” She continued, “I’m of the opinion that the longer we wait to start releasing information, the deeper into controversy we are going to put the University.”

“I realize your concern Ms. Shein,” said Ed. “Apparently, we have somebody who is using the information they have to build some sort of identity theft scheme. It doesn’t seem like they have enough to do that, though. But perhaps they will use what they do have to try to acquire more. That’s my concern. I’m thinking if we have some more time to monitor the situation, we could discover who is behind this.”

Ruby gave it some thought and replied, “But in the meantime our staff and students could perhaps become victims. If we were to notify them that somebody could possibly have compromised their personal information it could protect them from that situation. I think the fact that you want to catch the perpetrators is admirable but I want to protect those who are at risk here.”

Grepworth carefully phrased his response. “And of those who receive the warning, not a one would tip off the perpetrator?”

“I’m sorry Ed, I’m recommending to the board we put out an advisory. We’ve got too much riding on this and I have to make that decision” said Ruby.

Meanwhile, student Tokoa Wok got his confirmation, he was part of a clandestine operation. The Ghost was to meet him that evening at the Weber Grill off of campus.
