2007 foxtrot

Is it just me or is a passing year sort of depressing. When I look back on 2007 I feel sad it is over. I had a good year. It was a rough year at times, but also a defining year for me. Leopard, Mac OS X and java 6

Leopard looks really cool. But now I am finally obsolete. I have a dual G4 500 mghz. The requirements are g4, but you need to be above 857 mghz. Well, I guess I can't run an old mac forever. I've found the banter on the web over the issue of Apple not including java 6 interesting.

I think it is important to have java on the mac. Enterprise applications are often written in java. Having the mac be a viable tool to run and edit java code is important. But having said that, I also believe it will only be a matter of time for java 6 to be a standard port on the Mac.

I found the blog post that Ted Leung wrote to be very level headed.
